  • ACST151 ... back in the days where I had no idea what an actuary REALLY does ...

    I had a lecturer who amazed me.

    It was 2007, Semester one about week 8/9, I could not believe my eyes and ears when he said that he was going to embark on a road trip from East Russia to London with his wife. Their first trip was back in the 60s from London to India! (in the SAME car - the Pajero!)

    Tonight I stumbled on a video of their story, their most recent trip:

  • I was reading 354 and it mentioned Pollard, so i googled him because I wanted to read about his successful career (with Swiss Re and all), but somehow I ended up finding a video about their trip!!

    it's so amazing! I wouldn't even think of doing something like that in my twenties!
